Alpha Sigma Tau Volunteers
In all, twenty-four volunteers helped us accomplish some needed work.
Pine Mountain Settlement School has been blessed with the support of Alpha Sigma Tau, a national sorority, since the 1940s. That support has been in the form of money, supplies, and labor. This past March, members of two Alpha Sigma Tau chapters, one from Concord College in Athens, West Virginia, and the other from the University of Virginia at Wise, Virginia, volunteered a weekend to help out at the School. Tasks accomplished included the dusting and reorganizing of the School's library books, the cleaning of walls inside Laurel House and the Library, and the raking of leaves around building on campus.
