Return to Appalachia: Walk in the Mountains at Pine Mountain Settlement School

Join Clare Condon, the Environmental Coordinator at Pine Mountain Settlement School, as she leads a series of themed hikes this spring!

April 4: Morel Pickin' with Maurica- Hike to an abundant morel spot in the forest and then return to campus and cook your harvest in a delicious meal!

April 18: Hike for a Home: Walk & Adopt a Dog- Whether you're searching for a new furry family member or you would just like to give a shelter dog a day in the sun, this hike is for you. In partnership with Friends of the Shelter, you can hike with a shelter dog and explore the forest together!

May 9: Making Mother's Day Memories- Bring the whole family to create a mountain memory together. Following the hike, you'll have a chance to create a gift using family photos.

May 30: Bask in the Beauty of Golden Hour- This hike leads to a perfect spot for viewing the sunset. It's also a prime opportunity to get that golden hour content high atop a mountain to elevate your social media.
