Have your teen (14-17 year olds) spend a week in the rich, green forests of the Appalachian Mountains—known as the most significant biodiversity “hotspot” east the Rocky Mountains. In this summer overnight camp, students will work with researchers to investigate one of its most diverse and secretive inhabitants—salamanders and explore their relationship to water quality in the region.
The annual Pine Mountain Alumni and Community Reunion will be held on the campus of the Pine Mountain Settlement School on Saturday, August 10.
